the daily musings ... of faith and culture, of life and love, of fun and games, of a song and dance man, who is keeping his day job.
I'm looking at the cartoon about the "parental" potato telling its "child" to poke itself so they don't get too done.Believe it or not, it was only a few weeks ago that I learned these vegetables had to be poked before being nuked or they'd explode. Fortunately, I wasn't surprised by any load bangs, whumps or electrical arcing in my microwave, but only 'cause up until a few weeks ago, I never even thought of cooking a potato in a microwave! Before undertaking this ground-breaking idea, I asked my bride if it was possible to accomplish such a culinary feat in our miniature nuking machine. Looking askance at me, she of course responded that these veggies had to be poked to prevent their innards from being plastered all over the interior of our beloved microwave when the temperatures reached the appropriate level.Live and learn, eh?Cheez!
