My Keith Olbermann Moment

Reason.tv presents a tribute to Keith Olbermann, who was suspended indefinitely by MSNBC for violating company ethics policies by donating to three Democrats seeking federal office earlier this year. They also write a piece in his defense. (Somebody had to, I guess.) We here at mwbh do not like to kick a man when he's down. But when a guy says stuff like ...

“Good evening. I’m Sarah Palin’s left hand.”

... we are prepared to make an exception. And so, in his own words ...

“Perhaps we should simply sigh and keep our fingers crossed until a grownup takes the job.”

Good idea, Keith. Until then, there's always public access cable.

THIS JUST IN: MSNBC has announced Olbermann's reinstatement, beginning this Tuesday. Also, a brief word in defense of Olbermann from ... RedState.com.

There are certain lefties who are so out there that their presence is helpful to us. The only people who listen to them are the true believers. So I can see the point of not banishing him. His presence is our fuel for energy. Perhaps he should host Janeane Garofalo again and talk about her stint on 24 during its last season.
