FAMW: Romanes Eunt Domus?

With the coming of Christmas, this may or may not seem like the right time for this scene from the 1979 British comedy film, “Monty Python’s Life of Brian.” Graham Chapman plays Brian Cohen, a Jewish man born on the same day, and next door to, the Messiah, and for some reason is often mistaken for him. While some of the film is rather offensive to the Christian sensibility, this particular scene is a favorite of Latin scholars everywhere (in spite of one colloquial genital reference). Find out why, for this week's Friday Afternoon Moment of Whimsy.
