It has always been one of my favorite holidays because it reminds us how important our flag is to our national psyche.

The section about the soldiers proves that point. I would like to see the study of Civics put back into the primary and secondary school system here in the U.S. to help remind our children of the flag's importance and why patriotism keeps us psychologically healthy as a nation. (i.e. Germany was not very patriotic at the time of Hitler's rise to the surprise of many people today. He became popular because of the lack of patriotism which fostered an overly zealous nationalism which was not healthy for the republic, for obvious reasons.)

Finally, the flag folding video is most welcome. I am sad to say most people would need this video except of course. a Boy Scout.

I have been reading your blog only as of recent, but I am pouring over the archives. I enjoy your take on all things worthwhile and truly find your writing style my cup of tea.

Kudos, mwbh, I will be back!

Sophia GuerraAlwayscatholicnoreply@blogger.com
