Guadalupe
Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of my favorites.
The story of her feast, with readings of the day, and suggested customs, can be found here.
Last year, I dealt with this at more length, if only to quote generously from a columnist for the Arlington Catholic Herald. To wit, I wrote: "In parishes across the USA, a publisher of liturgical aids will feature a tribute to this vision, starting out with some drivel about the Spaniards and their cruel suppression of the venerable Aztec culture. Well, Father Saunders gives a fuller account of the real deal... in striking another blow against attempts by pseudo-intellectual twits at re-writing history..."
