The Catholic Thing

Starting today, a new Catholic website is being launched under the wonderful Chestertonian name of "The Catholic Thing." Its founder is Dr Robert Royal of the Faith & Reason Institute here in Washington. Yours truly has been working with Dr Royal as web administrator.

The address of this new site: www.thecatholicthing.org.

Every day the site will feature an original column by such writers as Ralph McInerny and Mary Eberstadt. It will also include a round-up of news articles and opinion pieces culled from various sources. For the first "issue" today, that round-up is made by Dr Royal.

If you are unfamiliar with the work of the Faith & Reason Institute, you might want to take a look at their site: www.frinstitute.org.

Hey Dave,

Nice job on the web design of The Catholic Thing.

When I saw the names on the mission, I was skeptical as I've found the beast of jealousy as the driving force behind the farce that they're doing something for the salvation of souls for the Catholic Church.

I wondered how long it would take to see the face of the beast of invidia for Bill Donohue and Deal Huson. Sure enough came Austin Ruse post from Friday June 6th at The Catholic Thing.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on Austin's post. It came across to me as the confusing suggestion that if only Haggee was allowed to continue to call the Catholic Church a whore of Babylon, Evangelicals and Catholics would get along just fine and John McCain would not have had to distance himself from Haggee.

Envy takes Ruse et al pretty far into the fringe and we should be guiding them from the talons of envy, don't you agree?

Peace Dave!
