“Give me souls, take away everything else!”We are coming up on that time of the year, when men are ordained to the diaconate and the priesthood. Since this is “the Year of the Priest,” and since mwbh is supposed to be a “Catholic blog,” it isn't exactly a broad leap to present a homily on the priesthood, eh? The good news is, a perfect choice just happened to come along this past Holy Thursday, at the Church of Saint John the Beloved, McLean, Virginia, where Father Franklyn Martin McAfee is Pastor Emeritus.
