Thank God it's Friday, and here it is, your moment of whimsy.
Noah Ritter of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, stole the show on WNEP-TV News one evening, during an interview with reporter Sofia Ojeda at the Wayne County Fair.
Naturally, this gave The Gregory Brothers an idea. And so Even and Andrew teamed up to cover what would become the kid's smash hit, “Apparently.” This second clip facilitates the process that is called "songifying."
And that's how the job gets done, as only “The Gregsters” can do it. The result is for a kid who had never been on live television, to perform the greatest song ever, about not having ever been on live television. There's your fifteen minutes, kid.
And so it goes.
the daily musings ...
of faith and culture, of life and love, of fun and games, of a song and dance man, who is keeping his day job.

TGIF: The Gregory Brothers “Vacation Weekly Mailbag”
Thank God it's Friday, and here it is, your moment of whimsy.
Much to his surprise, Andrew Gregory receives his Weekly Mailbag mail at The Gregory Brothers' rustic vacation cabin, including a Mallorcan whistle, Russian Magnets, and so much envelope art from Tim or Tina that he creates a cutting edge piece of video art from it.
And so it goes.

Art-For-Art’s-Sake Theatre: Schmoyoho “Herp de Derp”
Time once again for our usual midday Wednesday feature.
Schmoyoho is a collaboration of our pals The Gregory Brothers, with a little help from several of their equally-madcap friends, especially Bean and Stephon, who star in this music video as a commentary on being socially acceptable -- or not. “This channel is where we songify our world, because everything is better as a song!” And so it goes.

FAMW: The Gregory Brothers Go “Clocking” in NYC
Our favorite siblings, The Gregory Brothers, are running around loose again on the streets of New York, this time at Times Square and Grand Central Station, making time by marking the time, or at they call it, “clocking!” It's a pretty neat trick, and one way to pass the time (on at least two levels) for this week's Friday Afternoon Moment of Whimsy.

Art-For-Art’s-Sake Theatre: The Gregory Brothers “Happy Sad Songs and Sad Happy Songs”
Time once again for our usual midday Wednesday feature.
Those wacky Gregory Brothers (and their equally wacky wife/sister-in-law) are at it again. In this work just released today, they experiment with major/minor key changes and how it affects songs, both new and ancient.
Among other things.

Art-For-Art’s-Sake Theatre: The Gregory Brothers “Wrecking Ball”
Time once again for our usual midday Wednesday feature.
The Gregory Brothers -- that would be Evan, Andrew, and Michael, but without Evan's wife Sarah, remember them? -- add their “high lonesome sound” from southwestern Virginia to a recent single by Miley Cyrus. That little corner of the Old Dominion which is the birthplace of country music is strictly a twerk-free zone, so gather 'round the video, and prepare yourself not to be violently ill.
(H/T to Rosemary Norris Holland.)
