Rudyard Kipling Explains It All For You

“The Gods of the Copybook Headings” was a poetic commentary on the role of humanity in the cyclical nature of societal trends, written and published in 1919 by the British author and poet Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936). Fox News Channel commentator Glenn Beck decided to make something out of it in his latest fictional work, which is the subject of this video clip.

"Copybook headings" were sayings printed in the notebooks of British schoolboys in Kipling's day, which they were required to write multiple times down the page. Sounds like a big waste of time. No wonder the sun eventually set on that empire!
