Roy Zimmerman writes satirical songs, usually with a politically/socially liberal bent. Obviously that's where the money is. He lives (as should surprise no one) in Marin County with his wife and frequent co-writer Melanie Harby and their two boys. For this week's Friday Afternoon Moment of Whimsy, we bear witness to one of his more redeeming occasions, as he asks the question, "What if the Beatles were Irish?"

I think that McCartney, Lennon, and Harrison actually all had Irish roots.

I chuckled until tears came (though maybe that's just the allergies). I'm sending the video to my brothers, who are in an Irish band.
