Time once again for our usual midday Wednesday feature.
Sugarland is the collective name for the duo of Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles. This song is featured on their latest album, released last year, entitled "The Incredible Machine," the tour for which concluded only recently.
We note that, according to the United Nations, the seven billionth person in the world was supposedly born earlier this week. By the year 2025, that total is projected to reach eight billion. Will we ever learn to get along by then? We would have thought that any hope of changing the world, through writing a song and getting rich off of it, would have been disproven by now. But hope breeds eternal, even human hope. Beyond that, the peace we long for in this world can only come from one place: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.” (John 14:27).
Still a good song, though.
