As the month comes to an end, we have been gearing up for the Advent-Christmastide-Epiphanytide publishing cycle. Yes, there really is one, where items for inculcating Catholic culture (and also appropriate alliterations) are prepared days in advance. Thus our usual Friday afternoon feature was unavailable today. But fear not, we shall return this weekend, and certainly on Monday morning, with our usual routine. By the way, today is the feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle, "The First-Called" as he is known in the East, and the brother of Saint Peter the Apostle as he is known in the East and the West. He is also the patron of this writer's hometown parish in Ohio. Here is his image as it appears among the stained-glass windows. (Yeah, low-resolution. Best we could do on short notice.)
