Life After Chick-Fil-A

There was scheduled, as we reported here last week, a national "same-sex kiss day" to take place at Chick-Fil-A restaurants this past Friday, sponsored not the the restaurant (obviously), but the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). ABC News made no mention whatsoever of the event that day. In fact, it is likely that more was made in the mainstream media of the unprecedented patronizing of Chick-Fil-A establishments this past Wednesday, than of the ridiculous protest on Friday.

At the end of the day, the only "haters" were the people accusing others of "hate," and the only victims of "defamation" were the walls of those restaurants to spray-painting.

There is coverage throughout the Catholic blogosphere on the aftermath of the event(s), and this writer will likely visit such establishments again. Meanwhile, go to Big Pulpit and visit the usual suspects. Here at Chez Alexandre, there are more pressing matters.

Like packing for Seattle.
