Hey, kids, remember the day before yesterday, when we mentioned that the fifth of May is only a minor holiday in Mexico; that in fact, it's not even obligatory? Well, apparently it's obligatory in the state of California, which declared its independence from Mexico in 1846, and became the 31st state in the Union in 1850. In fact, honoring Mexico on at least one day of the year, is more obligatory than honoring that aforementioned Union which California joined.
But don't take this writer's word for it. Listen to these two patriotic surfer dudes found by Martha MacCallum of Fox News.
Totally!
