“I could be arguing in my spare time.”

They say every boy needs a hobby, and this is one of mine. If you want a ringside seat, you can visit a post, particularly the comments section, at a blog called Sincerely, An Angry Catholic, authored by someone named "Jean-Therese Delacroix." We dealt with the subject of her post in one of our own, entitled “A Scandal in Suburbia” last January. The response was phenomenal. We first learned of the subject in question from this fellow-blogger, and wrote our own piece after checking out her story.

We'll be using this occasion to explain the Church's teaching on the nature of the priesthood inasmuch as it is reserved to men. Our heretofore Anonymous challenger, who is by now resigned to our intellectual superiority, has exhausted their first line of defense in the form of personal attacks and the usual off-topic canards (like how "the Church condoned slavery," that sort of thing), and may be open to a more substantive discussion on the actual subject at hand. This bodes well for them, not to mention you, our loving public.

Fortunately, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. And if they did, it's probably the result of a complete misunderstanding of that term.

Not that that ever stopped anyone, eh?

Excellent responses over there. Keep it up. I see she has actually responded with something other than frothing. It's still bad arguments of course, but barfing up the usual modern egalitarian hairballs is a vast improvement over what went before in the discussion.
