It was reported last night, that the Most Reverend Archbishop Pietro Sambi, Apostolic Nuncio (Ambassador of the Holy See) to the United States, passed into eternity, from complications due to lung surgery. He was 73 years old. This writer has been getting inquiries about the arrangements. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of the National Shrine of thhe Immaculate Conception, on Saturday, August 6, the Feast of the Transfiguration, at 2:00 pm.
