The Super Bowl is this weekend, and you know what that means, right? Who's playing this year? Oh, yeah, it's the New Orleans Saints against those bums who sneaked out of Baltimore in the middle of the night. But enough about them. I'm talking about the annual roundup of our favorite commercials here at mwbh. This first clip was the most unforgettable character from last year, the Common Sense Delivery Guy from Miller High Life.
In real life, he's Windell Middlebrooks, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, and graduate of both Sterling College (Kansas) and the University of California at Irving. He has a recurring role as a security guard in Scrubs, and will have a starring role in an upcoming CBS sitcom, Ace In The Hole.
Our second clip is the announcement of YouTube's Ad Blitz 2010, where you get to vote for your favorite commercial. Wikipedia has a summary of what to expect, and YouTube is expected to provide clips, possibly along with others. (Not MySpace this year, apparently.) Of course, we'll be showing our faves during the week following the game.
“C'mon, boys, we got a lot of common sense to deliver” for our Friday Afternoon Moment of Whimsy.
