“Even a stopped clock is right twice a day ...”

... and that goes ditto for Christopher Hitchens.

Consider: What normal person would consider risking their career and their family life in order to undergo the incessant barrage of intrusive questioning about every aspect of their lives since well before college?

There are choices we make that do speak to the issue of character. Only a society which has lost the meaning of character, would expend so much energy eluding the very purpose of such scrutiny. Hitchens is wrong about a lot of things. He's probably more right than wrong about this, don't you think?

Or don't you?
